INNOPACK Navigating through COVID-19

Dear Client / Supplier,

Firstly, thank you for your great support of our business. We all find ourselves at present in “unchartered waters” with the COVID-19 virus creating health and financial issues world-wide.

It is important that we now support each other to get through this situation with minimal risk.  Innopack has technology platforms that are fully cloud based and all of our sales/financial functions can proceed as usual from off-site if required.  All of our management/sales and customer services personnel are available as usual on phone/email with skype/wechat as alternatives if required.

Our procurement/purchasing team can also work off site and they have advised that all of our suppliers (with the exception of one based in Wuhan) are now back to manufacturing and that the only delays are in transportation to NZ/Australia via airfreight due to the significantly reduced numbers of planes still flying. Our freight forwarder Burnard International is a well-established company with guaranteed sea freight booking spaces and sea freight is currently booking without issue.

To protect our warehouse staff who will have to be on site I ask that you instruct all your business representatives not to call on us unless the appointment has been pre-approved.  Should your staff arrive at Innopack without a pre-approved appointment we will be asking them to leave for their own well-being and ours.

We have in place designated courier collection areas and our transport companies have individualized contractor sign-offs in place to ensure minimal risk when on site or when delivering to our clients.

Should you normally collect your order – we would ask that you consider alternatives or you will need to pre-book your collection time. The sooner we can break this Covid-19 curve the better.

There are unfortunately costs to this current upheaval with unprecedented drops in exchange rates, increased overseas freight costs and flow forward costs as each company readjusts its finances to cope with the new closed border situation.

Please be assured we are working tirelessly to provide revised costs and time frames to support all our clients with their purchasing decisions and to give our suppliers as much information as possible.
